Survey Says: If you could have dinner with one famous person?
Dennis Schneidler-USA TODAY Sports

The offseason is upon us. The good news is that I have a few more Survey Says questions answered and in the bank to use over the next few weeks.

For this edition I asked players if they could have dinner with any famous person -- dead or alive -- who are they picking? It led to a pretty wide range of answers, from actors to former presidents to athletes and more.

Here's how the Penguins' players (and some now-former Penguins players) answered.

Noel Acciari: I'm going to go really outside the box here -- George Washington. It'd be crazy just to see what America was like then. The first president, should be wild to hear stories.

Michael Bunting: I'll say Eminem. Everybody would laugh at me, but I loved Eminem growing up. That was my idol, I pretty much only listened to him.

P.O Joseph: Denzel Washington. Just his mentality towards living and his job, and the way he sees the world. I see so many speeches that he makes, like at the Oscars or wherever it is, it's just unbelievable in terms of his personality. He sees the real in the world and he's good to speak about it. So I feel like I could talk with him for a long time.

Jesse Puljujarvi: Steph Curry. I really, really like him, how he is as a person. He's a really good player and I feel like he's a really good dad too.

Radim Zohorna: Michael Jordan. I like him, I like to watch him in basketball. I like the TV show about him and like him as a person.

Emil Bemstrom: Drake, he just seems cool.

Jack St. Ivany: I'll go with Jesus. No, actually I'll change it. Abraham Lincoln. I saw the Lincoln movie and I would love to have dinner with him.

Jonathan Gruden: Wayne Gretzky, just to talk hockey. Or Gordie Howe, just growing up being a Wings fan.

Jansen Harkins: Ryan Reynolds. I just love him. I think he's a hilarious dude.

Sam Poulin: Michael Jordan or Derek Jeter.

Kris Letang: Jim Carrey, he's just funny.

Reilly Smith: Ghandi ... I don't have a reason for it.

Chad Ruhwedel: Kobe or Tiger.

Magnus Hellberg: Borje Salming.

Lars Eller: Elon Musk. He's a very, very interesting guy.

Erik Karlsson: Elon Musk. He just seems like an interesting person and his interests are the complete opposite of mine. Just to talk to someone on the other spectrum of things.

Marcus Pettersson: The Swedish soccer player, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Drew O'Connor: I don't know, I'm not good at these ones!

Ryan Shea: Toby Keith. I like Toby Keith, he recently passed away. I'm a big fan of his music. A true American. I like his music a bunch, he's up there. I was trying to think of someone other than athletes but the first person to come to mind was Muhammad Ali. That would be cool.

Jake Guentzel: LeBron James or Mark Wahlberg, one of those guys.

Ryan Graves: Barack Obama. I feel like he'd be an interesting guy, he's had an interesting life. Someone that has lived a crazy life that you can't even imagine.

Valtteri Puustinen: Teemu Selanne, because we can talk in Finnish. If I said anyone else we'd need a translator so many times. That's why I say Teemu Selanne.

Colin White: Will Ferrell would be a good one, all his movies are pretty funny. It'd be a good dinner.

Alex Nedeljkovic. Will Ferrell. Or can it be a fictional character? Jon Snow.

John Ludvig: I'm going to go with Muhammad Ali. In my option, the greatest all-time boxer and a well-spoken man. It'd be pretty cool to go to dinner with him.

Rickard Rakell: Borje Salming.

Tristan Jarry: Maybe Jacques Plante or an early goalie. That would be cool, to talk about how the game has changed and how the positioning of goalies has changed over the years.

Bryan Rust: Morgan Freeman. He seems like he's got a lot of wisdom, and I feel like I'd learn a lot of things having some conversations with him.

Sidney Crosby: Gordie Howe. I had a chance to meet him, but with that era of hockey and for how long he played the game, I'd just love to hear his perspective and stories from when he started to when he finished. It was such a long time that he played.

Joona Koppanen: Puusty.
