Brandt Clarke and Samuel Fagemo were named to the AHL’s Second All-Star team this afternoon. Clarke was named to the AHL’s All-Rooke team yesterday afternoon. Both players have had successful seasons for the Reign and will be vital players in their playoff push.
Fagemo has had no problems putting the puck in the net as his 42 goals on the year is a single-season record in the Reign’s AHL history. He leads the league with 19 power-play goals and earned Player of the Week honors in March (3/4 – 3/10).
Clarke ranks first among rookie defensemen with 34 assists and second with 44 points. While getting stronger and the defensive aspect of the game will be a point of emphasis over the summer, he has come as advertised on the offensive side of the ice. A successful year for the 21-year-old rookie who has earned AHL Player of the Month in December, AHL All-Rookie team, and AHL Second All-Star team.
