NHL bets: Opting for point props on the ice tonight

We split our plus-money prop looks yesterday, and we'll aim to do one better with two more looks on the ice tonight. There's plenty of action, but we've aimed to follow a pair of home teams in games that matter.

David Perron 1+ point (+110 DraftKings)

I absolutely love this price on David Perron to get involved in a Detroit goal tonight. This is an absolutely massive game for both sides, and I much prefer scoring to come from the Red Wings end at home.

Washington is allowing 3.6 goals per game on the road over the last month and a half, and their penalty kill has also been atrocious on the road of late, coming in at just 57.9%.

Perron skates on Detroit's top line and their top power-play unit, and he has a point in four straight games (five total). Three of those points have come on the power play, and his PPP is priced at +375 if you wanted to go down that path.

Just knowing that element exists bolsters my confidence in his point prop straight, especially at plus money.

Perron has enjoyed success against Washington in the past, piling up seven points across the last six meetings.

Nathan MacKinnon 1+ assist & Artturi Lehkonen 1+ point (+142 ESPN)

Colorado most certainly still has something to play for here down the home stretch of the regular season. They'll want to stave off Winnipeg in the Central Division to maintain a home-ice advantage in the first round, and there's an outside chance they could still jump Dallas if the Stars somehow slip up here.

I like the Avs to find a few goals here, as they so often do against Minnesota, and there's also a slight power-play edge that only makes me like them scoring more.

MacKinnon has an assist in 89% of home games this year and he has 11 apples in the last nine games against the Wild. Something about Mikko Rantanen being out of the lineup has also elicited passing from MacKinnon, who has nine assists in his last eight games without Rantanen.

Speaking of no Rantanen, it's Artturi Lehkonen up on Colorado's top line in his absence, and he's rolling right now. Lehkonen has a point in five straight games, and for good measure he's logged a point in three straight games against the Wild.

He's gotten on the scoresheet in 65% of home games this season and in four of his last six sans Rantanen.
