Zach Wilson on receiving TD: 'I got the best hands on the team'

In his first game back from injury, Jets quarterback Zach Wilson did something that no other QB has ever done for Gang Green: he caught a touchdown pass (and pulled off a pretty impressive gritty celebration to boot).

After the game, a thrilling come-from-behind 24-20 win against the Steelers, Wilson was asked about the catch, which extended the Jets' lead to ten early in the second quarter.

"I got the best hands on the team," Wilson joked, smiling.

There was plenty of reason for Wilson to be in high spirits. The win over the Steelers brought the Jets' record to 2-2. The Jets haven't been a .500 team since early in 2018. One could say that things seem to be turning around for the franchise under this young QB.

Wilson's own fortunes turned a few times during this game. After the fast start, he struggled mightily in his first regular season action since last season. He threw two interceptions and was completing only 35% of his passes with a QBR of 13 midway through the 3rd quarter.

But then something clicked. The second-year quarterback was money in the fourth quarter, going 10-for-12 with 128 yards and a touchdown, making multiple clutch throws on third and fourth down, and ultimately engineering a comeback from ten points down.
