Patriots are laughing at the terrible trade offers other teams are sending their way ahead of 2024 NFL Draft
Eric Canha-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots are in a very unique spot ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Holding the No. 3 overall pick, Eliot Wolf has made it clear that the Patriots are open for business. And it's essential considering the Chicago Bears and the Washington Commanders have said they aren't willing to move from their first or second pick.

However, it appears the offers they have received are not up to the standard that they expected.

MassLive reports that the Patriots "have fielded calls and trade offers for their first-round pick," but they were "‘laughable’ and not close to getting the Patriots to move down."

They are still waiting for a serious offer.

"A second source stated that he wasn’t sure that such an offer exists or that another team would be willing to put together an unprecedented package to move the Patriots off the No. 3 pick," MassLive wrote.

If the Patriots remain at three, the expectation is that they will pick a quarterback. And that would mean either Jayden Daniels or Drake Maye will most likely be in New England for the 2024 season.

As for the final decision, it was reported on Monday that Wolf is "running point" on the trade discussions, but Patriots' President Jonathan Kraft is "heavily involved in the decision making."

So with little time remaining until the Patriots are officially on the clock, teams will have to make some serious offers if they are truly interested in moving up to the No. 3 overall pick.
