Myles Garrett Is Virtually Unblockable, According To This Stat

Myles Garrett has been special for the Browns in so many ways this season. He's a a consistent, dominant force on a team that has sorely needed it his play to scratch and claw its way to 9-5.

Every day there seems to be a new stat surfacing that backs up just how unstoppable he's been. The latest comes from Pro Football Focus, which released it's pass rush win rate numbers with Myles Garrett's leading the charge at 26.1 percent.

For comparisons, in 2022 Myles led the league with a win rate of 25.6 percent, with his peers filed in behind him. Micah Parson ended the year with a 22.9 percent win rate, and Trey Henderickson finished with a 17.0 percent win rate. Two guys who are at the top of the league in getting to the quarterback.

The narrative around Garrett seems to be changing this year as fans around the NFL are starting to see the attention that he receives every week. It is hard to rack up the sack numbers when he is consistently facing two to three blockers on almost every snap.

However, his impact is felt throughout the rest of the Cleveland defense. When Garrett garners so much attention, it frees up the other players around him to make big plays.

Every single player on this Browns' defense has benefited from Garrett. The guys in coverage have to cover for less time because of Garrett. The linebackers don't have to worry as much about blockers getting to the next level because of Garrett. His running mates on the defensive line get less attention thanks to No. 95.

While Garrett is stuck on 13 sacks and has gone four straight games without one, he is still making his impact felt. The story of the 2023 Cleveland Browns begins and ends with Myles Garrett. Without him, this team isn't anywhere near where they are right now.

Opposing QBs can guarantee to see Garrett barring down on them at leas tonce out of every four times they drop back to pass.
